Thailand Delegation Joins IIJS Bharat Signature 2026 in Mumbai, India.(5-10 Aug2026)

Indian-Thai Diamond and Colorstone Association (ITDCA) proudly led a delegation from Thailand to participate in IIJS Bharat Signature 2026, held in Mumbai from 5–10 August 2026. The delegation was led by Mr. Atul Jogani, President of  Indian-Thai Diamond and Colorstone Association (ITDCA) and Vice President of Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA).

This year, the Thailand delegation brought together representatives from more than 20 companies, with approximately 25–30 delegates, reflecting the strong and growing business relationship between the Thai and Indian gems and jewelry industries. The delegation officially joined the Opening Ceremony on 5 August, followed by a series of meetings and activities designed to strengthen business connections and promote greater cooperation between Thai and Indian industry professionals. The opening events provided an excellent opportunity for the delegation to meet and connect with numerous leading entrepreneurs and professionals from India’s gems and jewelry sector.

Throughout the exhibition, the delegation visited various booths at the Thailand Pavilion, as well as booths operated by ITDCA members and Thai companies with business operations in India. The delegation took the opportunity to congratulate members on their participation, offer encouragement, and wish them continued success throughout the exhibition. One of the highlights of the visit was a special opportunity to visit the GIA India Gemological Laboratory, one of India’s most renowned gemological laboratories. The delegation was warmly welcomed and given an exclusive insight into the laboratory’s operations and facilities, which employ more than 1,000 people. Due to the laboratory’s strict regulations, photography was not permitted inside the facility. Therefore, the delegation was only able to capture a commemorative moment while presenting a souvenir to the GIA India team. Prior to the official opening of IIJS Bharat Signature, the Thailand delegation also had the privilege of meeting with the Board and Committee members of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the organizer of IIJS Bharat Signature. The meeting provided an important platform for both sides to exchange views and discuss opportunities for further cooperation in the gems and jewelry trade between Thailand and India. The discussions attracted considerable interest from both the Thai delegation and the GJEPC representatives.

The Thai delegation also extended an invitation to the GJEPC team to visit Thailand and participate in future events, including the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, with the aim of further strengthening business relations and creating new opportunities for cooperation between the two countries. Another memorable moment took place on 7 August, when the delegation received an exceptionally warm welcome from Mr. Mehul Shah, Vice President of the Bharat Diamond Bourse and President of the World Diamond Congress. Mr. Shah graciously hosted a special luncheon for the Thailand delegation. His generous hospitality and warm welcome deeply touched all members of the delegation and created a memorable occasion for everyone. An important aspect of this year’s delegation was the participation of several members of the new generation of the gems and jewelry industry. Their involvement provided an excellent opportunity to experience an international trade exhibition firsthand, meet industry professionals, broaden their knowledge, and gain valuable new perspectives. The younger delegates greatly appreciated the opportunity and found the experience both inspiring and beneficial for their future careers in the industry.

The successful participation of the Thailand delegation at IIJS Bharat Signature 2026 would not have been possible without the support and hospitality of the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC). ITDCA sincerely appreciates the invitation extended to the Thai delegation and the generous provision of three nights and four days of complimentary accommodation for the delegation.
