The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization), or GIT, proudly announces the 8th International Gem and Jewelry Conference (GIT 2025), was held under the theme “Responsible Gem & Jewelry Supply Chain” on September 8–9, 2025, in Thailand. This landmark event reaffirms Thailand’s position as a leading academic and innovation hub in the global gem and jewelry industry.
Bringing together world-renowned experts, thought leaders, researchers, designers, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry stakeholders, GIT 2025 serves as a dynamic forum for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and innovations that drive transformation across the sector. The conference aims to promote responsible practices throughout the supply chain, aligning industry growth with global sustainability goals and fostering collaboration among government agencies, private organizations, and educational institutions.
Pre-Conference Excursion: Discovering Thailand’s Golden Heritage
Ahead of the conference, a special Pre-Conference Excursion will take place from September 5–7, 2025, offering participants an exclusive opportunity to explore Thailand’s cultural and industrial heritage. The itinerary includes visits to the Akara Gold Mine, Sukhothai Historical Park, Si Satchanalai Historical Park, and “Si Satchanalai: The Golden Heritage Community.” This journey will showcase Thailand’s rich history of craftsmanship and sustainable resource development that underpins its gem and jewelry legacy.

This year’s conference has attracted over 70 abstract submissions and will welcome more than 400 participants from leading institutions and organizations worldwide. Attendees will engage in academic presentations, panel discussions, and networking sessions designed to bridge science, innovation, and industry best practices.
